Mastering Fabric Lakehouse: From Setup to CI/CD, Peer Grønnerup, twoday

Join us for a demo-heavy session designed for data professionals and enthusiasts. Discover how to build and optimize a metadata-driven Microsoft Fabric Lakehouse, focusing on streamlining your data workflows. You’ll learn how to configure essential components such as workspaces and lakehouses for scalable and secure data management. The session also covers integrating Git for effective version control and collaboration, automating data processing tasks using PySpark, and structuring data models with SparkSQL to deliver actionable insights. Finally, we’ll explore setting up continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to manage the entire project lifecycle seamlessly. By the end of this session, you’ll understand how to transform raw data into insights while enhancing collaboration and efficiency in your projects.

Next Level Power BI Automation with Semantic Link Labs, Michael Kovalsky, Microsoft

Since its launch, Semantic Link has become an essential tool for Power BI developers and data scientists using Microsoft Fabric, gaining wide adoption in the user community. This session will provide an introductory overview of Semantic Link, demonstrating how the new open-source Python library, Semantic Link Labs, can be used to automate and optimize Power BI solutions. Semantic Link Labs offers a powerful yet user-friendly abstraction for various development scenarios, including migrating semantic models to Direct Lake, managing & optimizing models, applying the Best Practice Analyzer etc. By the end of this session, attendees will be equipped with practical tools to integrate Semantic Link into their workflows. No prior experience with Python or Semantic Link is required.
